Zlatá Koruna Monastery is a place where history breathes on you from all sides. This charming Cistercian monastery is located just a few kilometres from Český Krumlov on a rocky promontory surrounded on three sides by the Vltava River. Today, it is considered to be one of the most valuable complexes of Gothic architecture in Central Europe. The buildings of the monastery are mostly medieval (church, cloister, capitular hall, Chapel of the Guardian Angels, abbey) and partly Baroque. The monastery can host concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and other cultural events.
